Y Kids Camp is based at the Y in Auburn and caters to curious kiddos, weaving STEM and literacy activities into daily games and weekly field trips.
For the school age child that needs further help in their education goals, or for the prevention of summer literacy loss, the Y Kids Camp offers a great opportunity. This camp is housed at the Y but incorporates field trips within the community, including a weekly trip to swim at Range Pond! Early education teachers, artists, coaches, and other professionals help to make each week unique and exciting.
Located at the Y’s 93-acre Outdoor Learning and Education Center (OLEC), Y Summer Camp offers the quintessential outdoor day camp experience.
Campers will have the opportunity to participate in traditional camp activities such as archery, arts n’ crafts, environmental education, outdoor life, low ropes and fitness obstacle courses, sports, and camp games. Campers will also take weekly trips to swim at Range Pond, learn new skills, and make new friends while having a fun and safe summer at camp.
The Y Summer Camp at OLEC’s Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program provides leadership training for teens. In effect, CITs stand on a bridge between camper and staff and gain valuable counseling skills needed to ensure a smooth transition to future staff.
The CIT program is for those interested in helping to bring the magic of camp to our campers. There is an expectation of increased maturity and ability to be a positive role model.
* All teens interested in the Counselor In Training program must complete an application and will be contacted for an interview before being accepted into the program. Once approved, CITs can register for any number of our nine-week sessions.Learn more
