Y Summer Camp is the Y’s co-ed day camp located at the Y's 95-acre Outdoor Learning and Education Center (OLEC). A quintessential Maine day camp, Y Summer Camp boasts a large playing field, wooded areas, a brook and more.

Character-building is part of all Y Summer Camp activities, which include team-building, cooperative games, outdoor sports, and traditional camp activities like arts n' crafts, environmental education and archery. Our program is licensed by the State of Maine, and transportation to/from the Y and Y Summer Camp is provided.

This program is for children entering Grades 1-8 in the fall of 2021.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available for qualifying families.

Financial Assistance Application

Please Note: we make it a point to give every child the opportunity to experience camp. However, given the number of requests, we don’t have the funds available [thus the ability] to help send kids for a better part of – or the entire Summer. We are typically able to assist with 2-3 weeks of camp, per camper, applying some level of financial assistance – depending on what parents are able to contribute.

Please return your FA application, along with supporting financial documentation, to Chris Shea at cshea@alymca.org or drop off at the Y to my attention. I can also be reached at 207-795-4095 ext 206

**For more information check out our 2021 Camp Brochure **

Y Camp staff are trained, experienced counselors who care deeply about young people. Our camper-to-staff ratio never exceeds the State of Maine day camp standards of 5:1 (for ages 5-6), 6:1 (for ages 7-8), and 8:1 (for ages 9-13). All Senior Counselors are of college age or older. All staff attend up to 40 hours of training prior to the start of camp.

*A non-refundable deposit of $35 per session is required to reserve your camper's spot. Online registrants must pay deposits at the time of registration. Financial assistance is available for qualifying families.
