March programs

Below are new and returning programs coming in March. All programs take place at 62 Turner Street in Auburn with the exception of Gymnastics, which meets at the Lewiston Armory.

For Kids

Indoor T-Ball: Ages 4–6. Children learn basics of throwing, fielding, hitting and running bases. Space is limited. $35 for members; $60 for non-members. March 5–April 9.

Baseball/Softball Hitting Instruction: Get your kids ready for the big leagues! Ages 7–12 years. Multiple session times available. $35 for members; $60 for non-members. $275 for a team slot. March 7–April 14.

Gymnastics: For youth ages 3 ½ through teens. Session runs March 8–April 28. Registration now open. Fees range $34–$53 by age group. Meets at Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave., Lewiston.

Youth Strength & Foundations: Registration is now open for the Y’s teen strength and conditioning class, for competitive athletes and new exercisers. For ages 12–15. Saturdays, March 5–26, 9–11 a.m.

Youth Swim Lessons: Eight-week session starts Feb. 29. Multiple days and times available. For children six months through 12 years of age. 

Home School Exercise: For children 4–15 years. Mondays and Wednesdays, 1–2 p.m. Session runs Feb. 29–April 20. $35 for members; $65 for non-members.

For Adults

Weigh to Go: Weight management in a supportive group environment. Participants benefit from Y trainers and a nutritionist. Eight-week session starts March 9. $50 for members; $75 for non-members.

Aqua Zumba: The popular dance fitness class returns to the Y pool starting March 7. Classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays, 5–6 p.m. Free to members; $5 drop-in fee per class.

Group Active Launch: Join us for the latest Group Active program release on March 28. See the group exercise schedule at alymca.org for class times. Group classes are free to members, $8 drop-in rate for adults.

For the Whole Family

Acrylic Art Class with Debra Trafton: For youth and adults, ages 7 and up. All materials provided. $15 for members; $20 for non-members. March 5, 10 a.m.–noon.

Lunch & Learn: “Maine State Tourism” with Marcia Peverly, manager of the State of Maine Kittery Information Center since 1985. $5 registration fee is required; includes lunch. Tuesday, March 15, 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
