November 3, 2019
For over 150 years, the YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston has been supporting youth and families in Androscoggin County. Through November, you can be a part of honoring the men and women who have made "tangible and extraordinary" contributions to our community through service. If you have a YMCA coach, mentor, volunteer, or staff member you think should be honored, submit your nomination online now!
Nominees may be current or former staff, volunteers, Y members, board members, ambassadors, advocates or community partners. Anyone may submit a nomination, to include nominations by friends or relatives of deceased candidates. Selected inductees will represent inspirational leadership and dedication to our Y’s mission and the broader movement, touching lives in the dozens, hundreds, or even thousands.
Steven Wallace, YMCA CEO, states, “This event is about recognizing individuals who have shaped the YMCA to meet community and family needs over the last century and a half. They have unselfishly given of their time, talent, and treasure to ensure the Y continues to evolve into what greater Androscoggin County needs the YMCA to be."
This year's honorees will be recognized at the Y's annual meeting, to be held March 12, 2020 at Martindale Country Club. Information about the event and registration is coming soon.
