Anusara Yoga Workshop Series

Principles of Anusara Yoga

Five-Week Series on Wednesdays 6:00-7:30 p.m.

 (Sept. 7th 14th 21st 28th & Oct. 5th )

Anusara-Inspired Yoga- In this workshop you will learn about Anusara Yoga, The Universal Principles of Alignment and the Life-Affirming Philosophy of this growing style of yoga. -Founded in 1997 by John Friend, Anusara Yoga is a school of hatha yoga, which unifies a life-affirming Shiva/Shakti Tantric Philosophy of intrinsic goodness with Universal Principles of Alignment™. Awareness of specific postural alignment is coupled with the uplifting philosophy to look for the good in all people and all things. The poses in Anusara yoga are considered to be “heart-oriented,” meaning that they are expressed from the “inside out.” Instead of trying to control the body and mind from the outside, postures originate from a deep creative and devotional feeling inside. On the mat, yogis endeavor to always remember the spiritual purpose or highest intention of practicing hatha yoga, including reconnecting with their innate Goodness and expressing poses from that Divine place. Students of all levels of ability and yoga experience are honored for their unique differences, limitations, and talents. Strong emphasis is placed on building a vibrant and supportive community both on and off the mat.

Tisha Bremner Nationally Certified & Anusara Inspired Yoga Instructor will be presenting this workshop series.
