Parents asked, and we listened: Y Kids Camp is back for children in grades K–5.
Part of a nationwide initiative, Y Kids Camp aims to battle summer learning “backslide” so kids return to school ready to learn.
PLEASE NOTE: There is limited space available and some of our weeks have hit capacity. Please call (207-795-4095) or visit the Y at 62 Turner St, Auburn to complete your registration or be put on a waiting list.
Themed weeks, field trips, special events, and guest speakers are all on the horizon for this year’s Y Kids Camp. Literacy and STEM activities are blended seamlessly into the camp experience, where kids can practice skills in a fun, supportive environment.
Past camp activities have included making homemade volcanoes, visits to the Maine Wildlife Park, and swimming.
Y Kids Camp is a smaller program (limit 50 children) based right at the YMCA at 62 Turner Street in Auburn. It is a great option for younger children not quite ready for the bustle of Camp Connor and curious kids interested in hands-on learning.
*A non-refundable deposit of $35 per session is required to reserve your camper's spot. Online registrants must pay deposits within a week of signing up to hold your camper's place. Financial assistance is available for qualifying families.
