Teens are a valuable part of our community!
The Y’s Counselor In Training program gives teens entering grades 9 and 10 an opportunity to build skills that will help them in the classroom and the workplace — not to mention provide great experience to become future camp counselors or lifeguards.
Campers walk away with
• American Red Cross CPR/First Aid
• Experience facilitating group activities
• Outdoorsmanship skills
• Confidence and leadership experience
CIT participants work closely with Camp Directors, who serve as instructors and mentors. Our directors often provide references for CIT alumni as they apply for jobs and internships.
