Call for Nominations: YMCA Hall of Fame 2017

We are now accepting nominations for the third annual YMCA Hall of Fame. You're invited to submit your nominations online or using our paper form

Deadline for nominations is
Monday, September 25, 2017.


Nominees may be current or former staff, volunteers, Y members, board members, ambassadors, advocates or community partners. Anyone may submit a nomination, to include nominations by friends or relatives of deceased candidates. Selected inductees will represent inspirational leadership and dedication to our Y’s mission and the broader movement, touching lives in the dozens, hundreds, or even thousands.

Previous Hall of Fame inductees include Col. James G. Bouchles, Pauline Bourgoin, Richard Kendall, Malcolm Philbrook, Stephen B. Austin, Muriel Bureau, James Lawler and Pennell Woodard.

Why a Hall of Fame?

Steven Wallace, YMCA CEO, states, “This event is about recognizing individuals who have shaped the YMCA to meet community and family needs over the last century and a half. They have unselfishly given of their time, talent, and treasure to ensure the Y continues to evolve into what greater Androscoggin County needs the YMCA to be."  

2017 Annual Meeting & Hall of Fame Celebration

This year's honorees will be recognized at the Y's annual meeting, to be held Dec. 6 at Martindale Country Club. Information about the event and registration is coming soon.
