Nominees may be current or former staff, volunteers, Y members, board members, ambassadors, advocates or community partners. Anyone may submit a nomination, to include nominations by friends or relatives of deceased candidates. Selected inductees will represent inspirational leadership and dedication to our Y’s mission and the broader movement, touching lives in the dozens, hundreds, or even thousands.
Last year's inaugural Hall of Fame class included Col. James G. Bouchles, Pauline Bourgoin, Richard Kendall and Malcolm Philbrook. You can learn more about the 2015 celebration here.
Steven Wallace, YMCA CEO, states, “This event is about recognizing individuals who have shaped the YMCA to meet community and family needs over the last century and a half. They have unselfishly given of their time, talent, and treasure to ensure the Y continues to evolve into what greater Androscoggin County needs the YMCA to be."
This year's honorees will be recognized at the Y's annual meeting, to be held Dec. 8 at Martindale Country Club. Information about the event and registration is coming soon.
