Early Education and Care

We offer a quality full day Early Care and Education Center that services infants, toddlers, preschool and pre-kindergarten. Each Early Care classroom has a qualified lead Teacher who maintains a stimulating environment that fosters each child’s individual development and needs.

All of our YMCA Early Care and Education Centers are licensed by the State of Maine and also are Nationally Accredited by NAEYC. We are registered with the Quality Rating System for the State and both centers have received the highest level certification, Step 4. We have 
a commitment to healthy eating and physical activity for our children and have been recognized as a Gold Site with the Let’s Go! 5210 initiative. The YMCA received these certifications because of our overall dedication and commitment to quality in our early care and education programs.

Our goal is to provide children with a safe and healthy learning environment that stimulates physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth. Early Education is offered at the YMCA, 62 Turner Street, Auburn and at Daisy Garden at St. Mary’s Hospital site in Lewiston.
