TIME TO COME BACK TO THE Y!
As we get kids back into school, develop new routines and prepare for the coming months ahead, we invite you to be apart of what the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA offers. New sessions will begin in September for Youth and Adult Swim Lessons; Field Hockey; Before and Afterschool Progams and a new Group Power Launch, the last week of September. It’s never too late to get involved. Please check out our offerings and include the Y into your family’s health and wellness.
They Y and the Wal-Mart Foundation have partnered together in sponsoring the Let’s Move Program, a national intiative to help children and their families realize the benefits of nutrition and healthy play. In our Afterschool Programs and now in our Pre-K Classrooms, we’ve begun to establish some very fun and educational opportunties. We invite parents to particpate and learn how important a healthy diet is to growing strong kids and healthy minds. You will be hearing and seeing some great new ideas that you can incorporate at home.
The Y is a non-profit organization. We’re for people, not for profit. Your membership supports the operations of the facility, but does not support programs like Camp Connor, childcare, many youth programs and opportunties to get kids and families active. The Y’s Annual Fund is made up of community donations from people like you who want to support our community and ensure that it is a desirable place to live for everyone regardless of their financial situation. At the Y, our annual funds go directly into our scholarship program so that everyone can be given the chance to be healthy, connected, and secure. Without these funds it makes it impossible to make an impact in our community. Please consider making a tax deductable gift using our secure online donation service or simply add a donation amount to your EFT Monthy Membership payment.
So this Fall, we welcome you back to greet some familar faces and meet some new staff members who are committed to you, your family and our journey together for Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social
